MATTER

The alphabet of the mark

“Concrete is my Zero Point: the blank page where I lay down the first marks of a story yet to be written.”

Matter is my first point of contact with the world: not an inert support, but a living, breathing body. In this visual narrative, matter becomes the letters of my alphabet. I seek materials that hold memory—stone, wood, marble. Touching them is not just a gesture; it is a way to decipher the passage of time. Breaking matter apart is not an act of destruction, but of liberation: I search for the beating heart of the elements to reveal a new purpose.

COLOR

The accent of the mark

“If matter is the letter, color is its accent: the force that breaks linearity to give weight to a fragment.”

Color is not decoration, but a parameter that challenges our perception. In my works, color is never static; it is a force unleashed through breaking. Splitting the material reveals hidden tones and reflections that the surface had kept in shadow, showing how a material can change its identity the very moment it is transformed. Color tells the viewer: “Pause here—this letter is more important than the others.”

LIGHT

Punctuation

“Light is my punctuation: the dynamic element that traces the boundaries of the mark and sets the reading order of the work.”

Light is the force that digs into the fissures, ignites reflections, making the material discourse fluid and never final—a writing that renews itself with every change of the day. In this visual text, gold represents the ultimate expression of light: an exclamation point that draws the eye and lifts it toward new directions. To design means to anticipate this metamorphosis, transforming the work into a living organism that inhabits the space and continuously rewrites itself through the passage of time.
