The identity of matter
“My path is a continuous search for synthesis and balance, where the individual letters of matter become expression.”
The exploration
My exploration focuses on the truths that emerge through the act of breaking. I don’t apply color — I extract it and recompose it: by splitting the letters of matter, I release latent tones, arriving at a meaning that departs from the starting point. This physical deconstruction is my way of uncovering the hidden identity of materials and transforming them into a living language.
Training and synthesis
After graduating in 2007 from the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, I refined my artistic vocabulary through Graphic Design studies in Venice, gaining the ability to strip my work of any decorative overlay. This maturation took me to international stages, from Chicago to my solo exhibition in Venice in 2024, “Infinite Limits,” and led me in 2025 to the IX Mosaic Biennale in Ravenna.
Direction and design
Today, I combine my artistic practice with the role of Director at the International School of Graphic Arts in Venice. For me, the School is a place of constant inspiration: an ecosystem where the dialogue between different disciplines continually nourishes my vision. I see education as a circular process of transmission and acquisition.
Teaching and directing means fostering artistic and professional growth that does not end in the classroom but flows daily back into my artistic research. In this context, design becomes an act of synthesis: the ability to coordinate complex languages and transform them into meaningful paths.
