“The eternal tension between the desire to know and the boundary of the unknown.”
In the exhibition “Infinite Limits,” my field of investigation is knowledge: I explore the challenge of wanting to understand the world around us, defining my own understanding on one hand while confronting, on the other, the limits of my intellect that prevent complete comprehension.
In this series, I interpret the idea of boundaries in a positive sense, following the philosophy of Kant. For me, the boundary is what separates us from a “beyond” that we can sense but not fully understand—at least for the moment. Yet, I feel that human nature constantly pushes us to shift that limit, defining new horizons of knowledge beyond which we intuit new questions and complexities. For this reason, the limits I set as definitions seem to continually expand, infinitely.
In the exhibition, I present my creative process in three stages: the sketch, the mosaic color study, and the realization of the final work
